Ministry Staff

Pastor Michael Brandon

Senior Pastor

Pastor Michael Brandon was born and raised here in Russellville, Arkansas, where he was saved at a very young age. He felt God’s call to the ministry at age 11, and began preaching. After graduating high school, he attended Ozark Bible Institute in Neosho, Missouri, where he graduated in 1999 with a B.A. in Christian Education.

He and his wife Debra married a few years later, and recently celebrated their 23rd wedding anniversary. They have five children; four boys and a girl.

Bro. Brandon has dedicated his life to God’s service, having served for 9 years as the Principal of Parker Hill Christian Academy, and pastoring churches in California and Louisiana. His return to PHHC as Senior Pastor marked his 35th year in the ministry.  A lifelong student of the Bible, his favorite passage of Scripture is 2 Peter 3:18. His hobbies include reading, poetry, chess and playing the piano.

Sis. Debra was raised in the town of Jane, Arkansas, where she was saved at the age of 12, and felt God’s pull on her heart that she would be in the ministry one day. She teaches Sunday School, enjoys cooking and baking, board games, coffeehouses, and is a skilled seamstress. She finds solace and strength in her favorite Bible verse, Psalm 46:1. Together, Bro. Michael and Sis. Debra love camping and traveling with their family, while taking in the breathtaking scenes of God’s beautiful creation.

It’s their great privilege to pastor in the Arkansas River Valley and minister to the people of Parker Hill Holiness Church and Russellville!  They wholeheartedly invite everyone to come experience a wonderful church that’s built on the solid foundation of the Word of God, where the life-transforming power of Jesus can flourish in YOUR life!

Stephen and Kim McCutcheon

Parker Hill Christian Academy Principal

Bro. Stephen and Sis. Kim McCutcheon were both blessed to be raised in pastors’ homes here in the beautiful state of Arkansas, and were both saved at a young age.

Bro. Stephen felt the call to ministry as a young man, and began teaching in PHCA in January of 2005. He and Sis. Kim were married that December, and worked together in the school’s leadership until May 2008. In May 2015, they returned as Principals of PHCA and have invested themselves in the lives of our students since that time.

Bro. Stephen is a lover of the Bible, and his favorite Scriptures would be a toss-up between 1 John 5:4 and the entire chapter of Romans 8. He is passionate about teaching, and does a wonderful job ministering the Word in the Adult Sunday School Class. An accomplished singer and drummer, he also fancies reading, playing volleyball and eating superhot peppers!

Sis. Kim has found her favorite verse in John 14:27, and she enjoys reading, cooking and spending time with their family of three beautiful girls and one very active boy!

They are truly a blessing to the ministry of PHHC and PHCA, and we are very grateful to have them as part of our church family.

Pastor Harrison

Pastor Emeritus

Bro. David Harrison and his wife Barbara are native Arkansans, born and raised in Little Rock, where they were high school sweethearts. In December 2023, they celebrated 63 years of marriage!

Bro. Harrison served as Senior Pastor of PHHC for 30 years, before pastoring churches in Athens, AR, and Batesville, AR. He returned in 2022 as interim pastor following the tenure of Pastor Timothy Brimm, and his “passing the torch” to Bro. Brandon in early 2023 marked his 50th year in the ministry.

Bro. Harrison enjoys traveling and camping, and is an expert trout angler. Sis. Barbara enjoys spending time with their family, which includes 12 grandchildren and 24 great-grandchildren!

We honor them for their many years of dedicated service to the Gospel, and have been blessed by their myriad wisdom and guidance.

Ministries

Parker Hill Christian Academy

Parker Hill Christian Academy

Parker Hill Christian Academy was founded in 1978 as a ministry of Parker Hill Holiness Church, and has been in continuous operation since.

As we celebrate our 46th academic year at PHCA, we are incredibly thankful that God has provided the way for the children of our church to receive a quality education in a morally sound environment. PHCA is a place where students experience not only the many facets of academia, but also learn godly principles, and grow in the grace and character of Jesus Christ!

Long Term Care Facility Ministry

Long-Term Care Facility Ministry

PHHC ministers every Thursday at 6 PM to Legacy Heights Nursing Home. Bro. Paul and Sis. Natalie Holbrook, along with a group of church family, share the love of Jesus Christ with the residents and their families. They encourage the residents through singing, personal prayer and a devotional Bible message, as well as personal visits with the residents.

PHHC stands ready to minister to the Legacy Heights residents each week, as well as at the time of their end-of-life services.

Trinity Holiness Youth Camp

BHF Youth Camp

Our youth and young adults attend an annual, week-long youth camp here in the Russellville area, hosted by Bible Holiness Fellowship, our group of fellowshipping churches.

They enjoy daily fun outdoor group activities, as well as indoor events throughout the week. Each day is highlighted with an instructive morning service, and an evening service that is filled with the life-changing power of God for the hundreds in attendance.

Basics That We Believe

Parker Hill Holiness Church Basics that we believe
  • The Bible is the infallible Word of God, divinely revealed to man under inspiration of the Holy Spirit. We accept the Bible as the final authority on all matters pertaining to salvation and Christian living.
  • The Bible declares that there is only one true God, revealed in three eternally co-existent persons; the Father, Son, and Holy Spirit. This Biblical principle is commonly known as the Trinity.
  • The Bible declares the deity of the Lord Jesus Christ. As God’s only begotten Son, Jesus was both fully human and fully divine.
  • The Bible states that all have sinned against God, and that sin has corrupted the very nature of humanity.  It concludes that sin’s effect is eternal separation from God and damnation in Hell, because God is perfectly holy and just in His nature and judgment. Therefore, all humanity is in need of forgiveness from sin.
  • The Bible teaches that every living person can enter into fellowship with God through the born-again salvation experience that He has provided, by the pure, sinless blood of Jesus Christ as the substitutionary sacrifice for their sins. This life-changing experience occurs instantaneously when one truly repents of their sin before God, and accepts Jesus Christ as their personal Lord and Savior.
  • The Bible teaches that the born-again Christian is a new creation in Christ Jesus, and that the Spirit of Christ supernaturally empowers them to live a godly, holy lifestyle, separate and free from their former sinful nature.
  • The Bible declares that the Baptism in the Holy Spirit is a secondary experience to born-again salvation, that empowers a Christian to be effective in God’s service. The initial physical sign evidence of this Pentecostal experience is speaking in an unknown tongue as the Spirit gives the utterance.
  • The Bible teaches that the Church is comprised of born-again believers who have been called out of and saved from sin. The local Church is the local Body of Christ, and is part of the entire global Body of Christ.
  • The Bible tells us the Church has been given the Great Commission to evangelize the world with the gospel. The Gospel is the birth, sacrificial death on the cross and resurrection of Jesus Christ, and the salvation that this provides for mankind.
  • The Bible plainly teaches that Divine Healing of both physical and mental afflictions is for believers today. This healing was provided for in Christ’s complete work of atonement for the body, soul and spirit of man.
  • The Bible teaches that Jesus Christ is returning to take His Church to Heaven. This is commonly called the Rapture. Raptured Christians will be judged in Heaven for their works, and the unsaved will later be judged for their sins at the Great White Throne Judgment.
  • The Bible commands us to love one another; this is a critical component of a Christian’s life. We strive to demonstrate love to all – sinner and saint alike; no matter their race, nationality, ethnicity or position in life.

While we understand that this does not cover the entire Bible, nor does it explain these stated points in great detail, we think this will allow you to know the basics of our beliefs.
